About us and the role

Commissioning Support Officer - Accommodation Based Support for Adults - Strategy and Commissioning

A part -time - 2 days, (14.5 hours) per week - Commissioning Support Officer vacancy has arisen in the Accommodation with Support for Adults team.

The role supports the work of two other CSOs to provide support across the work of three commissioners – Care Homes; Extra Care and Specialised Supported Housing; and Housing Related Support.

The CSOs have a key role and provide appropriate and accurate information on which commissioners develop recommendations for critical Council decisions.  Attention to detail and ability to work flexibly across a number of service areas is important for the role.  A knowledge of commissioning and adult social care would be an advantage.

With major reviews of Housing Related Support and the Extra Care and Specialised Supported Housing underway, this is a period of significant commissioning activity, presenting an opportunity for a new member of the team to get involved in some high profile and rewarding work which seeks to commission the most efficient services based on robust data and knowledge.
