Welfare Benefits Officer
Dudley's Welfare Rights Service is looking for 2 additional Welfare Benefits Officers (WBOs) - one to work within the Community Care Contributions Team (CCC), and another to work within the Training and Consultancy Team (T&C).
Both teams have a major part to play ensuring vulnerable customers have their income maximised to enable them to maintain their independence.
WBOs working in the CCC Team also carry out financial assessments to establish the contribution customers may be required to pay towards the cost of their care and support.
WBOs working in the T&C team also deliver benefits training to internal and external organisations who are supporting vulnerable residents in the Borough.
Within an established service, where the majority of WBOs have been in post since the early 2000s, we are looking for 2 new faces to join us. These are new posts to backfill work required as a result of Senior WBOs taking on additional duties, and will help us to continue to provide an excellent service to our customers.
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Grade 8
