Solihull Community Housing is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for managing the property portfolio, customers and surrounding estates on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC).


Reporting to the Aids and Adaptions Project Manager you will be part of a team delivering maintenance services Borough wide. As part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team you will be responsible for the prioritisation, allocation and monitoring of repair work orders to operatives and contractors to ensure repairs are delivered efficiently. You will be expected to be an effective member of the team providing an exceptional service to all customers.


Exceptional customer service is paramount as is the need to support Solihull Community Housing’s (SCH) Strategic Vision, Values and whole organisation Asset Management Strategy. High quality customer service is an absolute pre-requisite of this role both on an individual and corporate basis. The role is a busy one, so the ability to prioritise and effectively manage your workload are key skills for the role. Along with an in house Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) we also work with a range of contractors and external agencies so good communication and negotiation skills are essential.
