Job Details
The Metro Team is looking to recruit a resilient, adaptable and pragmatic Personal Assistant to help provide critical support to the Projects Director and a busy West Midlands Metro team. This role will be varied, dynamic and fast paced at times and we are looking for a positive, proactive and solution orientated individual to join the team.
The main elements of this role are to provide day to day support to the Metro Projects Director to include diary and inbox management as well as arranging, facilitating and supporting meetings. This includes coordinating Senior Management Board meetings and writing and issuing Board Minutes for Authority Governance. The role also provides diary management and administration support to the Finance Manager and other members of the Metro Leadership Team.
We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience of providing business support to a busy team of professional people. Managing multiple diaries, effective document management, coordinating events and liaising confidently with multiple internal and external stakeholders will come easily to you.
Creative and curious, you’ll be open to new possibilities and enjoy exploring new ideas and ways of working. As a self-starter who can use their initiative you will lead on tasks and projects from the outset.
Whilst we continue to work remotely, it is important that you are able to build effective working relations with a dispersed team using a range of collaboration and communication tools (e.g. email, phone, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint).
About the team
The West Midlands Metro is going through a period of major expansion which will see the network triple in size between 2018 and 2026. The first phase of this expansion is currently underway and will see the opening of four new extensions by 2024, and in addition to these major projects there are many other operational projects being run concurrently by the wider West Midlands Metro team.
