Together4Children Regional Permanency Partnership

Employed by Staffordshire County Council with primary duties for Stoke-on-Trent Locality hub (based in Swann House, Stoke)

Together4Children is a partnership between Shropshire Council, Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Telford & Wrekin Council. We are the regional adoption agency for the four councils. We also provide other services and initiatives that support children’s permanency.

Our ambition is to ensure that children who come into local authority care and are not able to return to their parents, achieve permanence within loving families without unnecessary delay.

We are looking for a committed and highly motivated individual to join us in this key regional Administration Officer position.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team within our ‘Central Permanency Hub’ undertaking a range of tasks in relation to Regional Adoption Panels. Reporting to the Regional Business Coordinator, the postholder will coordinate the Regional Adoption Panel and provide support to the regional Panel Adviser. This will involve the preparation of agendas and documentation for the Panel, minuting of meetings and preparation/circulation of letters and other documents.

The postholder will use, maintain, and monitor a range of I.C.T/digital platforms including computer-based information systems (for input and retrieval of data), office email and intranet/internet facilities.

The successful candidate will be employed by Staffordshire County Council which acts as the host for the Central Permanency Hub. The primary duties for this role will be supporting the regional adoption panel located in Stoke-on-Trent and the position will be based at Swann House, Stoke.

Together4Children operates an “agile working” approach to service delivery in order to meet the demands across the Partnership. Regional activity and communication is supported through the use digital technologies including Microsoft Teams.

This position is subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions in your application form.
