Dudley Disability Service is an all age disability service, providing joined-up support to people, from birth to old age. The aim of the service is to support children, young people and adults with special educational needs, learning or physical disabilities, or autism living in Dudley Borough, to achieve a full and happy life. A life in which they are independent, gain skills and knowledge and have a confident and sociable life.


A range of care and support services, as well as information and advice is on offer to enable people with special educational needs, autism and/or disabilities to live as independent and full lives as possible. The service works in partnership with each person it supports to ensure that it meets their needs, desires and aspirations. We want people to be supported in the way they want so they can achieve their own goals and the lifestyle they choose.


Dudley Disability Service is designed to provide a seamless support service for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities.  Our new integrated working processes across Adults and Children’s Social Care has led to an exciting new delivery approach.

Salary : Grade  8 ( £28,673 - £31,346 per annum)


We have vacancies in our 25+ Multi-Disciplinary Team for Adults Senior Social Workers and Social Workers. This is a new way for working which enables a whole life approach to be taken when meeting the needs of people with disabilities.  We are seeking to build on our early successes by recruiting the right people with the desired mind-set and required skill set to take the service to the next level.


Dudley Disability Service is designed to provide a seamless support service for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities.  Our new integrated working processes across Adults and Children’s Social Care has led to an exciting new delivery approach.


We are now recruiting qualified Social Workers for the Multi Disciplinary Team for adults over the age of 25. Applicants will need to demonstrate practical experience of delivering good quality services in social care services for Adults however applications are welcomed from newly qualified social workers.


Applicants will need to be Social Work England registered and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the legislation that governs the role for which they are applying (Care Act, Children, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, etc).

Dudley council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
