Parking Services Operational Assistant (Part time) - Ref: EE00121
G5: £20,903 - £24,491 pro rata to hours worked.
Part time post - 18.5 hours per week working 5 mornings per week. The successful applicant may be required to start work from 7.30am on occasions due to service requirements.
The Parking Services team is responsible for delivering a range of operational services in relation to the Traffic Management Act 2004 including traffic enforcement, parking control, the management and maintenance of over 50 car parks and related assets/equipment within the town and district centres .
As a Parking Operational Assistant you will be responsible for providing support for the management of the parking enforcement contract, delivery of maintenance programmes for on street and off street car and lorry parks and all relevant associated equipment; the issuing of waivers, dispensations and special parking permits. You will assist with the processes of collection and reconcilliation of cash boxes from the councils pay and display machines. In addition you will undertake a range of back office functions associated with the requirements of the parking operations office.
Suitable candidates will be flexible in their approach to working hours, be computer literate, and have the ability to deal sensitively but firmly with the general public.
You must:
- Have substantial experience working in a regulatory environment preferably within a parking services office.
- Be educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent, with 3 subjects at grade A-C including Maths and English.
