About Us and The Role

Heritage & Culture Warwickshire (HCW) manages the Museum, Arts and Archive service for Warwickshire – working across 4 main sites and with partners and organisations across the county. We care for our museum objects and archives, engaging visitors and participants through exhibitions, events and community outreach programmes whilst working strategically with partners to support and develop the heritage and cultural infrastructure of the county.

We are now recruiting for the role of Development Officer. In this role you will work collaboratively with a broad range of partners, stakeholders and organisations to support development projects and programmes across all areas of HCW service delivery. You will lead HCW’s fundraising programme and associated activity. The postholder will have the responsibility of ensuring that HCW maintains its high-quality brand, maximising opportunities for profile and engagement.

Joining us, you are comfortable communicating with a wide range of individuals and organisations and working collaboratively with people from a range of professional specialisms. A good project manager, you work to get the best out of your team and are willing to roll your sleeves up and support customer facing events when required. You will have experience of developing and delivering successful fundraising programmes, ideally incorporating a range of income streams including grants and sponsorship income. You may not have worked in the heritage or arts sector previously but bring transferable skills which will add value to our small, creative team.

Working for Warwickshire County Council, you will part of a supportive team with opportunity for training and personal development. WCC offer flexible working to all staff to ensure a work/life balance, alongside a generous holiday allowance, pension and enhanced support packages.

The post is being offered on a permanent basis, 3 days per week (22.2 hours), with working pattern days and hours to be negotiated/offered on a flexible basis. The main base for this role is Warwick.
