Assistant YOS Team Manager

Solihull Youth Offending Team is a multi-agency partnership committed to preventing and reducing youth crime and anti-social behaviour across the borough and were recently recognised as Good within the HMPI Pilot Inspection 2020. The service delivers high quality, well focused, personalised services that engage and assist young people from becoming involved with youth justice system.
Our key objectives are to provide services in line with national and local standards and to continue to build on the delivery of our outstanding service to young people and their parents.
We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and inspirational Assistant Team Manager to provide assistance with the day to day operations within the prevention and pre court area of the service.
As the service lead for prevention and pre court you will offer robust management oversight, develop and lead prevention, out of court disposals and restorative practices. The role will have a strong partnership focus with the post holder representing the YOS at locality meetings; Solihull Exploitation Panels; Police and School Panels.
The YOS is working with an increase cohort of vulnerable males (approx. 90%) who are at risk of being exploited into the youth justice system, as such we are looking for a confident and suitably experienced manager who can compliment the preventative strand of Solihull YOS.
You will have:
A degree / HND or equivalent professional qualification
Substantial experience of working with and managing offenders or young people at risk of entering the criminal justice system
Previous experience at operational or senior practitioner level of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience of working collaboratively with partners
Some analytical skills to provide reports to managers
