Required from June 2021

Ridgeway Primary School is seeking to appoint two Early Years Practitioners/ Teaching Assistants to work within our EYFS provision at Ridgeway Primary School. Our EYFS provision, run by the Governors of Ridgeway School, is an integral part of our school which offers support for families by providing sessional and full day care both during term time and whole year.

The first post will be based in our Ridgeway Rainbow Tots 2s Group for 12 hours per week (9am – 12pm Tuesday – Friday). This post will be a term time only post, initially until the end of the summer term. Ridgeway Rainbow Tots provides 3 hours sessional day care each morning during term time for children aged 2 years. 

The second post will be based in our Sunny Days Nursery for a minimum of 15 hours (2 full days). This post is offered on a whole year basis (with a holiday entitlement) initially to the end of August 2021 but with the potential to continue after this time. Sunny Days Nursery provides full day care provision for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years across a whole year.

Candidates should:

  • Hold a minimum of NVQ L2 Qualification or equivalent;
  • Have some experience of working with children of pre-school ages;
  • Be proactive and use their initiative;
  • Have an understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
