Early Help has seen a significant transformation in recent times and our supportive Early Help teams are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join us. This new post is fixed term for one year as we further develop the Early Help Eco System, which works systemically across our localities with multi-agency partners to support children, young people and families at the earliest opportunity.


 


About The Role


 


We need a Social Worker who is passionate about children, young people and families accessing support at the earliest opportunity and to prevent their needs escalating.


 


By working in our team, you will liaise and work restoratively with children, families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for them. Partners in schools are particularly crucial and you will be expected to attend and support various network events in your locality to offer advice and consultation.


 


To work alongside Early Help colleagues and families to prevent escalation to Children’s Social Care.


 


To provide consultation and support to the Early Help network.


Work in partnership with colleagues from Children’s social care, such as the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Children with Disabilities, Initial Response and Strengthening Families.


 


To work with high level Early Help cases to prevent escalations; delivering direct interventions. To be the allocated worker where required.


To provide consultation to consortia significant adult practitioners.


 


To participate in Locality Discussion Panels to support step up and step down.


Contribute to the delivery of Designated Safeguarding Lead and Early Help training as required.


 


If you are an organised, friendly and efficient person, we have a full time post on a one year fixed term contract covering Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire.


 


Support countywide will be required in the absence of colleagues.
