We have a few posts available which are all 12 month fixed term contracts.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council are looking to play a significant part in assisting local economic recovery by supporting individuals into employment via newly commissioned large-scale programme. This will involve supporting those who require expert employability support and/or those with barriers requiring additional specialist support and interventions. We are currently accepting applications from individuals who want to join us and be a part of our Jobs, Enterprise and Training (JET) service. We would like to hear from individuals who have proven success in terms of meeting targets and experience in Careers Information Advice and Guidance, Recruitment Consultancy, Employer Engagement, Employability Training, and Self-Employment Business Advisors.

Employment Broker

The purpose of this role is to actively promote the city councils Employment and Skills offer to employers across the Stoke and Staffordshire region. You will identify and engage with employers to offer tailored recruitment solutions to meet their needs and ensure that activity is co-ordinated to achieve the required outcomes for customers and employers. You will deliver a high quality, tailored service with employers with customers’ needs in mind, whilst remaining focussed on contractual requirements and KPI’s at all times.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities with employers across Stoke and Staffordshire where you can secure employment, work experience and apprenticeship placements for our customers, whilst also identifying any other workforce development needs. The Employment Broker will maintain the on-going relationship with employers, and develop a comprehensive offer to employers to ensure their short and long-term requirements are met, along with those of our customers.

*Availability of these roles is subject to external funding being secured. Indicative start dates are from May onwards.

*This role will involve a part office and part home working arrangement.
