Are you an experienced and passionate Team Leader looking for a change? or are you an experienced Social Worker looking for career progression or redirection?   If so, you could be the person that we are looking for to join our innovative and supportive team.


 


The Role


 


You will be responsible for providing supervision and support to family support workers, sessional workers and apprentices overseeing the range of direct services for our children in care and complex needs - this includes lifestory and direct work informed by a therapeutic model of practice as well as supervised family time for children subject of child protection plans, court proceedings and for children in long term foster care. 


 


You will be part of a supportive and cohesive management group to deliver a safe and effective county wide principled on restorative practice.


 


We need a Team Leader who is:



Child-centred and has a sound knowledge and ideally experienced in delivering family support services to families with complex need.                    


 


Motivated and positive leadership qualities, and ideally direct experience of undertaking Supervision and Staff development. 


 


The ability to work as part of a team with colleagues, families, and partner agencies and to really make a difference in children's lives.  


 


Being proactive, flexible and solution focused in overcoming the challenges.


 


Good organizational skills and the ability to meet the varied requirements of the role.


 


Supervisory experience is desirable, but not essential.


If you are an experienced Social Worker and want to further your development, or an existing Team Manager who fancies a change, this could be the opportunity for you.


 


The post is based in Rugby, the Children in Care Support Team is a county wide service, and therefore they maybe requirements to cover in the North and South of the county.
