The Local Governing Body of St. George’s Junior School is seeking to appoint a highly effective and inspirational teacher at our vibrant and successful school. With twelve classes across Key Stage 2, (360 pupils) and staff;

St. George’s Junior School is a proactive, dynamic and friendly team.
We are seeking to appoint a passionate, inspirational, highly motivated Year 5 teacher to join our team.

The successful applicants must;

• be an excellent classroom practitioner with drive and enthusiasm;


• have had previous successful experience of working with children in Key Stage 2;


• have an understanding of pedagogy and metacognition


• have excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to proactive subject leadership;


• have a commitment to making learning challenging, interesting and motivating


• be able to work in effective collaboration with other members of school staff to achieve the


• best possible outcomes for children;


• have high expectations of him or herself and of the children they teach


• proactively model a growth mindset;


• contribute positively to children’s happiness and well-being;


• communicate effectively with all members of the school community;


• be a team player and possess a sense of humour and demonstrate a willingness to become fully involved in the life and work of the school;
