As the sector emerges from the upheaval caused by the Covid pandemic, Warwick District Council’s Arts Service are looking for a proactive individual to join the Programming and Marketing team as Marketing Officer.

The Arts Service manage three cultural venues in Leamington Spa: The Royal Pump Rooms (including Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum), the Royal Spa Centre (theatre auditorium, cinema and events space) and Leamington Town Hall.

Pre-pandemic, we would welcome over 600,000 patrons though the doors of our venues every year and present over 1,500 performances, exhibitions, film screenings, workshops and events.

The Programming and Marketing team focus their time on box office, ticketing systems, sales and visitor information, planning community events in hireable spaces, programming the professional shows and films, the production and distribution of marketing collateral to support events and exhibitions as well as maintaining websites, 7 social media channels, audience development, branding, and communicating with customers, audiences, visitors and clients and promoters.

The team work closely with other teams in the Arts Service: Collections and Engagement, Technical and Facilities, Customer Services and Projects and Development; liaising about how we can reach new and existing audiences, anticipating their needs to provide an excellent customer experience from the purchase of a ticket through to post event communications.

The successful applicant will gain experience in planning, managing and delivering multiple marketing campaigns alongside one another in a fast-paced environment across digital and print platforms. They will gain a thorough understanding of audience profiles and how to use this knowledge to create successful integrated marketing campaigns.

Collaboration, idea generation, organisation, excellent communication skills and attention to detail are the key skills that underpin this varied and busy position.
