We are seeking a Scams Enforcement Officer to join our scams team which has recently received permanent funding following a successful three year project.


 


Hours: 37 per week


Salary: Grade 8


Location: 3-5 St James Road, Dudley, DY1 1HZ


The role primarily involves visiting residents in the borough who have been affected by scams to offer advice & support as well as enforcing legislation relating to scams, doorstep crime and financial abuse of the elderly and vulnerable.


Experience in a trading standards, policing or fraud investigation background or similar is required as well as either a trading standards qualification or willingness to train for a trading standards qualification along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage demanding caseloads.


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and vulnerable adults; therefore the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
