Key Stage Progress Leader (2 posts)

Start date: 1 September 2021

37 hours per week termtime plus INSET (6 days) Hours: 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Thursday; 8:00 am-3:30 pm Friday (30 minute lunch break)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Academic Mentor to support our students in one to one provision and small groups interventions. This role requires a calm approach and the ability to build rapport with students. You will need to be passionate about making a difference and about breaking down barriers to education.

You will be required to support learning through the use of data and strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment. You will monitor the academic progress of all students in the year group, working closely with the Assistant Headteacher with oversight of progress in your Key Stage.

The successful candidate must be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that deadlines are met. The ability to work under your own initiative and be able to lead by example are essential. You will be required to deal with students, parents and outside agencies in a professional, prompt and confidential manner.

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1113

students on roll which has an excellent reputation throughout the area. On 1 November 2013 St Thomas More together with four primary academies formed the All Saints' Catholic Collegiate (MAC).
