HMP Onley Library Manager
Suffolk Libraries is an independent and charitable society which runs Suffolk’s public library service and prison libraries in several counties including Suffolk, Bedfordshire and Nottinghamshire

We are looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to join our team at HMP Onley, a category C men’s prison in Warwickshire. We are interested in someone who:
- Has the ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of staff and volunteers in providing a customer focused and responsive service.
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoys engaging with people and building relationships.
- Is proactive and able to promote innovative ideas that will increase the use of the library.
- Has the IT knowledge required to support, assist and train staff and customers in using various forms of technology, including computers, tablet devices, and smart phones.
- Has the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to ensure that that both individual and team goals are achieved.
- Has sufficient emotional resilience to work in what can be a challenging but highly rewarding environment.
This position is for an average of 30 hours per week, on the below working pattern:
Week 1
Tues: 0815-1900 Weds: 0815-1900 Thurs: 0800-1500 Sat: 0830-1600 Sun: 0830-1600
Week 2
Tues: 0815-1900 Weds: 0815-1900 Thurs: 0800-1500 Fri: 0800-1500
Week 3
Tues: 0815-1900 Weds: 0815-1630 Thurs: 0800-1500 Fri: 0800-1500
Rate of pay for this role will be £24,480 - £27,540 pro rata.
