We are looking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting our students in their learning and social development.
We are a Special School but would also encourage applications from staff with mainstream experience and from other walks of life with different experiences. We are looking for a commitment to CPD, high expectations, a strong work ethic and a desire to improve the life chances of our students. If you are not currently qualified to a Grade 3 equivalent, we
will support you to reach that goal.
Langley caters for children aged 3 – 11. All of our students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Most of our students have a diagnosis of autism and many have needs in terms of cognition and learning, communication and other specific challenges. We adapt our environment and approaches to suit the needs of the students.
The ability to work in every class across the school is vital (we often move staff on a daily basis), as are high levels of emotional intelligence. You will be part of a class team that has to function very effectively.
These are exciting times for Langley School, as we continue to build on our positive links, through co-location with Coppice Primary, federation with Beaufort School and as a founder member of the Learning Trust for Excellence in Four Oaks.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
Closing Date: 18 May 2021 at 9am
Interview Date: Monday 24 May 2021
If you would like the opportunity to help us continue on our exciting journey, then this post could be for you. Further information (including job description, person specification and application form) can be requested by email from the school email@example.com or downloaded from our website. Informal chats and visits are welcome. Please contact the office on 0121 675 2929 to arrange.
