Valley Primary School is a happy, vibrant school. Our vision is ASPIRE for excellence, ENJOY learning, ACHIEVE success and CHALLENGE ourselves further. This runs through everything that we do within school and we have high expectations for our children.

We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Higher level teaching assistant who will join us and be instrumental in moving the school forward.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated professional with the ability to inspire children and be a team player with good interpersonal skills as they will be working alongside our well-structured and supportive staff.

We are hoping that the successful candidate will have experience of supporting individual pupils and groups of pupils. The ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative is important.

The successful candidate must be able to show excellent organisational and communication skills with both children and colleagues. We also hope the candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and caring.

We offer full support and an induction programme for all new staff, and a commitment to continued professional development. Previous experience or an interest in Family Support Work would be an advantage.

Valley Primary School is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and will be required to disclose all relevant information for appropriate safeguarding checks.

Please note we are unable to accept CV’s.

An informal conversation with the Headteacher for more information about the role can be arranged upon request.

To apply, please download the job description and person specification here. Completed applications and the accompanying recruitment monitoring form should be sent to recruitment@valley.solihull.sch.uk for the attention of Miss Milewski, Headteacher.
