Wychavon Area Social Work Team

Salary: £45,610 - £49,186

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Area Manager post (37 Hr/ week) in the Wychavon Area social work team. The team base is the Short Breaks unit in Pershore however currently working remotely

The team have adopted 3 Conversation approach to person centred work with adults over 18 years. Your role is to support this practice both in formal and informal supervision, and to support the co-ordination and facilitation of weekly reflective practice for the team. 

 

You will also manage the operational duties of the team by providing expert knowledge of the adult social care system including supporting and enabling social workers/ social care workers to practice a strength-based approach to working with people.

You will have excellent positive links with local voluntary agencies, and to engage staff to be fully knowledgeable about local services. You will also need to have good close working relationship with health colleagues.

To be successful in this post you will need significant post-qualifying experience, including considerable and demonstratable experience in supervising and managing Social work practitioner as well as advance social work practitioners.

The suitable candidate will be supported with regular supervision

You must have excellent communication skills and be registered as a social worker with HCPC.  The suitable candidate will be well supported and will receive regular supervision and development opportunities.
