Moorgate Primary Academy – Inclusion Assistant

 

Contract type:  1 year fixed term (Temporary Term Time)

Working hours: 32.50 hours per week

Start Date: 1st September, 2021

End Date: 31st August, 2022

Salary: Grade 5

  
The Multi Academies Trust Board is seeking to appoint an inclusion Assistant to work at Moorgate Primary Academy as part of our recovery curriculum.

This role will be to support children with their emotional needs (mental health and well-being) and also to support children with SEND needs. The role will include:

- working under the guidance of the Early Help Leader to support children's emotional health and well-being

- working under the guidance of the SENCO to co-ordinate requirements for annual reviews of pupils at the school, attend the meetings and ensure the paperwork is completed

- to have full knowledge and appreciation of the range of activities, courses, organisations and individuals that could be drawn upon to provide extra support for the pupils.

- to be responsible for writing learning passports for children on the SEND register as required

- to maintain relevant documentation relating to this area and file securely.

- to undertake relevant training and development as required.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the class teacher, and be trained to NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent and have good numeracy and literacy skills.
