King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Mathematics teacher to join an exceptional department.  With 88% of grades at 9-4, 70% of grades at 9-5 and 34% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE Mathematics in 2019, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. The post is part-time to cover maternity leave but additional time (up to full-time) could be made available for a less experienced candidate accessing induction as a Newly Qualified Teacher under the Early Career Framework.

Mathematics is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. The appointed teacher will be expected to teach up to at least GCSE level with the possibility of some post-16 teaching for a suitable candidate. A Level Mathematics, A Level Further Mathematics and Level 3 Core Mathematics are taught in the Sixth Form.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
