YOS Social Worker
Dudley Youth Offending Service is seeking an passionate and highly motivated Social Work practitioner to join the team as we continue on our improvement journey in developing innovative services for young people.
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £28673 to £38890
Level A - Grade 8 (£28,673 - £31,346) (Must have passed ASYE)
Potentially increasing to Grade 10 dependant upon qualifications
Level B - Grade 10 (£35,745 - £38,890)
We are looking to appoint a Social Worker to a permanent position based full time at Dudley YOS which is part of Integrated Youth Services within the Family Solutions division.
The role involves holding a caseload of both statutory and preventative interventions which includes early help, out of court disposals and the full range of Court orders.
The post holder will be required to visit both Youth and Crown Courts within the Black Country and Childrens placements and secure estate facilities across the Midlands region and beyond.
A good understanding of the legislation relating to young people in the youth justice system or Childrens Services is essential along with current practice and procedures in relation to safeguarding vulnerable young people.
