Performance and Contract Support Officer

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Performance and Contract Support Officer to join our Independent Sector Management Team and support Senior Procurement and Contracts Officers in the procurement and management of Public Health commissioned services.
Working closely with Commissioners, the Independent Sector Management Team manages all of the Adult Social Care and Public Health contracting and procurement activity contributing to the successful delivery of great care and health services to the local community.
Sandwell is a metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, which is made up of six towns - Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich. The council provides a vast range of services across the borough to its population of 325,000.
Applicants are required to be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business studies and demonstrate the below experience within their application form:
- At least 2 years’ experience of supporting procurement within commissioning
- With a minimum of 1 year’s experience of working with community and voluntary sector organisations
- 2 years experience of collecting monitoring and financial information against targets in service level agreements
- 1 years experience of working in partnership with colleagues from other disciplines and agencies
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Training in IT software packages
