Suffolk Libraries is an independent and charitable society which runs Suffolk’s public library service and prison libraries in several counties including Suffolk, Bedfordshire and Nottinghamshire

We are looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to join our team at HMP Onley, a category C men’s prison in Northamptonshire. We are interested in someone who:

• Has sufficient emotional resilience to work in what can be a challenging but highly rewarding environment

The successful applicant will be required to undergo Prison security vetting checks before any appointment can be confirmed

This position is for an average of 15 hours per week on the following work pattern:

When library is up and running a open regime.

Week 1

Mon: 0900-1200 Tues: 0900-1200 Weds: 1330-1900 Fri: 1330-1700

Week 2

Weds: 1600-1900 Sat: 0830-1600 Sun: 0830-1600

Week 3

Mon: 0900-1200 Tues: 0900-1200 Weds: 1330-1900 Fri: 1330-1700

The rate of pay for this position commences at £8.91 per hour.
