The ICT Shared Service Department provides ICT support and development to over 800 staff across South Worcestershire.   We provide ICT services to Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council, Wychavon District Council, and their partners.

South Worcestershire ICT has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Digital Transformation Apprentice to join the newly formed Digital Transformation team, working on behalf of three South Worcestershire Councils. This is a new role which is likely to develop and evolve providing the successful candidate with a great opportunity to make their mark. You’ll be key in supporting the delivery of projects, using agile development techniques and maximising the value of O365 and the Microsoft Modern Workspace.

Digital Transformation Apprentice
Full Time, Fixed term for up to 18 months
Up to £18,198 per annum

As part of the Digital Transformation Team you will work across the South Worcestershire councils playing a key role in ensuring we get the most value from our investment in Office 365 and the Microsoft Modern Workspace and that ICT projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Alongside this you will work towards the IS Business Analyst Level 4 qualification.

You will need to have GCSE’s Grade A-C / 4 – 9 in Maths and English (or equivalent) as well as a Level 2/3 qualification in IT or Business (or equivalent).
We are looking for someone who has work experience in a Business or IT environment and has developed good communication skills and excellent IT skills.
You will be confident and able to speak to customers face to face and via telephone and email, and you must have a flexible attitude and be willing to work as part of a team. 

You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the role:
•    Be over 16, (or over 15 and legally left school)  
•    Have been a UK/EEA resident for the last 3 years 
•    Hold valid residency status 
•    Have the right to work in the UK

You must have experience with Microsoft 365 products.

You will need good analytical and research skills, excellent people skills and the confidence to present information with strong written and verbal communication skills.
