Senior Design & Technology Technician

The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional technician to provide technician support to the Design & Technology department ensuring that health and safety standards are met and give appropriate assistance in lessons.

The Design & Technology department covers a range of subject areas, including Resistant Materials, Designing the Built Environment, Product Design, Fashion & Textiles, Hospitality & Catering, Health & Social Care.

We therefore welcome candidates with knowledge of these areas a willingness to learn all the specialisms. Experience within the use of computer aided design and manufacture (mostly operating laser cutter and 3D printers) along with repair and maintenance skills will be advantageous.

37 hours per week, term time - 39 weeks per annum plus 3 days to be worked during school holidays.

Starting salary for a full-time post at Band E is within the range £18,933 to £19,698, starting point depending on experience and qualifications.

The actual salary for the hours / weeks worked will be £16,329 to £16,989 subject to any continuous service.
