Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

Fixed Term Contract 

June 2021 until July 2022

Scale Grade I point 22

Actual Salary £14,746.30 per annum Term Time Only plus 5 days Teacher Training Days 

Working 27.91 hours per week

Budbrooke Primary School is looking to recruit a creative, energetic and enthusiastic HLTA to join our hard working and dedicated staff team. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting children to achieve the very best they can through our engaging and creative curriculum.

The successful candidate will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day-to-day school life. They will be innovative and creative in their teaching and have a strong belief in teamwork with the ability to work collaboratively to share good practice.

You will be required to cover classroom teacher’s subject leader time and provide PPA cover. An element of planning will be required but planning time will be provided for this.

  • The successful applicant will:
    • have good communication skills.
    • have good literacy and numeracy skills.
    • have the ability to relate well to children from Reception to Year 6
    • be able to work constructively as part of a team.
    • be able to use positive behaviour management strategies to manage the behaviour of whole classes.
    • have high expectations for all pupils in terms of behaviour and academic standards.
    • flexible, adaptable and able to work on their own initiative due to the nature of this role.
