St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy is a very popular, oversubscribed and thriving school serving the Catholic community of the North of Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. The staff are united in their commitment to our young people and fostering within them a desire to learn and become the very best versions of themselves that they can be.
The Computer Science/ICT/Business Studies department is extremely popular which is reflected in the number of students who choose to further their studies in these areas at Key Stages 4/5. The academy boasts four impressive classrooms furnished with high-spec technology and which are dedicated to the delivery of Computer Science, ICT and Business Studies.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner who can join the committed and ambitious members of the Computing/ICT/Business Studies department in bringing a passion and enthusiasm to all our students.
The successful candidate will need to be competent in the delivery of Computer Science and ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4 and, ideally, be able to teach Business Studies to Key Stage 4/5. Should the successful applicant have strength in some areas but not all, the Academy will look to provide support and training to ensure competency in all strands.
