An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Wyre Forest Area Team, Adult Services for a permanent full-time social worker. There is also an opportunity to undertake ASYE programme.

We are a friendly and supportive community team of social workers and social care staff providing social work support to older people, adults with physical disabilities, adults with learning difficulties and adults with autism. We work closely with teams in WCC including the safeguarding team and the CHC team. We work in partnership with the Neighbourhood Teams which consists of GP, District Nurses, Occupational Therapists and other health professionals. We also work closely with the voluntary sector and other organisations within the Wyre Forest Area.

You will be expected to work within the 3 Conversation Model and Strengths based practice. The post holder will need to work in partnership with families and individuals and look at how to increase independence and achieve outcomes that improve health and well-being. The post holder will be expected to be part of a duty team and take part in the duty rota. This is an ideal opportunity for a person experienced in working with adults who may wish to extend their experience in the field of social care or ideal opportunity for a newly qualified worker to undertake ASYE with Worcestershire County Council.

In return you will receive regular supervision, training opportunities and excellent peer support. There are regular opportunities to take part in Reflective Learning sessions. You will be part of developing timely, transparent, efficient and person-centred social work practice to the local community.
