Job Details

We are looking for a highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to join the Commonwealth Games Transport Team on a 12 month fixed term basis. You will provide accurate, well-presented intelligence from our transport models for forward planning and real-time operations during Games-time.  You will utilise a variety of analytical tools, techniques and methods to ensure that CWG functional areas can access appropriate, accurate and consistent transport planning decision making information. Reporting to our CWG Modelling and Mapping Manager, you will work as part of small team of technical specialists in modelling and data analysis providing an end-to-end decision support service.

We’re looking for someone with advanced Excel skills, including nested index matching, arrays, macros and dashboards, and knowledge of the latest data analytical and presentation tools, such as Safe FME, Tableau (or ability to transfer PowerBI skills to Tableau). Experience and knowledge of transport planning, datasets and APIs would be an advantage but is not essential.

You’ll have excellent verbal, presentational and report writing skills, utilising multiple channels including desktop and web-based tools, and communicating to a wide range of audiences, including senior stakeholders, will come easy to you.

If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy complex data relationships, this role will provide a unique challenge.  If you can pick up new concepts quickly, are self-motivated to drive improvement, have a determination for problem solving and can work under pressure, then please apply.
