Salary Range: Teachers’ Pay Scale MPS/UPS plus SEN allowance

Contract Type: Permanent subject to an initial six month probationary period

Location: Bailey Street Alternative Provision Academy

Bailey Street Alternative Provision Academy (formerly the Hollies PRU) is part of The Manor Hall Trust and is an 11-16 school for pupils who have been permanently excluded or at risk of exclusion from the Stafford and South Staffordshire districts.

We are looking for a Teacher of Science who has the highest aspirations, passion and expertise to be able to provide the inspiring teaching that will continue our journey to bring positive change throughout the academy and in the Science department. You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate to ensure that pupils are given the best opportunity to succeed, not only in the classroom but in life.

Moving to new premises at the end of 2020 has enabled us to make significant developments within our curriculum for the new academic year ahead.

Applications are welcomed from dynamic and inspirational teachers, who wish to make a difference by safeguarding, raising standards, and improving the life chances, behaviour and levels of attainment for some of the most vulnerable pupils in Stafford and South Staffordshire. Pupils whose previous educational experience, for whatever reason, has not been wholly positive.

We are interested in candidates that are good and outstanding teachers, who are fully-inclusive in their practice, with positive classroom management skills and a growth mind-set attitude. They need to be resilient and flexible enough to work in a pressured school environment.  The successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to the aims, values and ethos of The Manor Hall Trust and be a positive team player.

The Manor Hall Trust is committed to high quality professional development and career opportunities for all staff, we are passionate about cultivating our own talented workforce. We believe that we can provide an opportunity to join a dynamic team enabling a bespoke career development programme to be created for you in a supportive environment.

If you are as excited by this opportunity as we are, we want to hear from you. The closing date for applications will be 12 noon on Tuesday 18th May 2021 with interviews to be held as soon as possible after shortlisting on this date. Therefore, please complete and return your application as soon as possible.

We welcome all applicants who meet the criteria in the accompanying recruitment pack to apply for this exciting role. Application packs can be emailed from the school office as our new website is currently under construction. NQT’s are welcome to apply.

Applications should be returned by the closing date to Mrs S. Tooby, Office Manager, Bailey Street Alternative Provision Academy, Bailey Street, Stafford, ST21 4BG or emailed to office@baileystreet.manorhall.academy
