Would you like to make a difference to the young people in our school by ensuring our premises are the best that they can be?

Following the promotion of the current post holder, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Site Services Officer who has a ‘can do’ attitude and skills in the trades to join our small site team at Foxford School.

Our site services team is key to the effective running of the school.  This role is really varied with plenty of chance to get your steps in with servicing the site!  The role also entails providing a quick response to general maintenance calls, manual handling and lifting, janitorial, monitoring and security duties, including a 24 hour response to call outs.

Ideally you will have experience of repairs and maintenance, and relevant trades (including carpentry, plumbing, heating, and painting) as well as building works in a similar environment.    Most importantly, you will have the will to go that extra mile to make a difference to the students at our school, the flexibility to be part of a great team and the communication and problem solving skills to resolve situations as they arise, with the support of our senior SSO.

This is a great time to join Foxford, on its journey of positive trajectory.  You would also be part of Castle Phoenix Trust.  A Trust that is committed to invest in, and develop, staff in a supportive manner with values that are really important including, Respect to All, From All, Innovation and Collaboration.

We pride ourselves in offering:

• The opportunity to work as part of an experienced, supportive, friendly and hardworking staff team who are united in their drive to achieve the very best outcomes for every student

• A supportive and visible leadership team and a new Headteacher

• A comprehensive induction programme.

• Potential developmental opportunities to take on more responsibilities within the Trust.

• A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition initiatives, through the Trust’s people strategy

• A range of benefits which includes the local government pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, discounted gym membership, free parking and an employee discount scheme.

Foxford has a great deal to be proud of and a desire to continuously improve.  If you would like to discuss this post further or arrange a school visit, please contact Ali Wilkins, HR Manager on awilkins@foxford.coventry.sch.uk who will put you in contact with the Senior Site Services Officer or the Trusts Estates and Premises Manager.  Visits to the school prior to application are strongly encouraged and will be warmly welcomed.
