Permanent, Whole Year preferably (Term Time + up to 4 weeks negotiable)
Location base: Head Office (Kidsgrove)
Grade 4, scalepoint 13 - 16

We are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant Central Services; this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly organised person to join a very dynamic and busy environment as a Finance Assistant. The successful candidate will have worked in a finance environment/office typically for 1-3 years, an NVQ 3 (Business and Finance) or equivalent qualifications would be desirable. If you are positive, self-motivated and have the capacity for hard work then we would welcome an application from you.


You must be able:
• to interpret budgetary information in order to make sound judgments and undertake relevant action in respect of financial processing.
• to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
• to use initiative and escalate work concerns in a proactive and timely manner.
• to be capable of interpreting work and tasks in order to deliver an effective and timely outcome.
• to demonstrate a positive attitude and professional customer service to all callers and members of the team.


You should have good IT and communication skills in order to deal with the variety of
financial duties assigned to you. A good working knowledge of PS Financials or similar package is advantageous, and you must be proficient in Microsoft Office, e.g. word and excel. As you will be based in a team within a school you must have a personable and
professional approach to all children.
