The Role

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team as soon as possible to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with SEN needs. The role is part time (30hrs per week plus 1/2 unpaid lunch break).

Working alongside another adult the special needs assistant will play an important role in supporting this pupil who has significant physical and care needs.

This is a fixed term contract to support a SEND child and so will be for as long as the child is with us; we anticipate this will be until July 2027.

Additional SEN allowance – currently £2743 (pro rata’d to hours/weeks worked)

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong outlook who will be able to support this young person to achieve. The successful candidate will have experience in supporting with SEND and will need to be Buccal trained (Buccal training can be undertaken through us).

The job will involve manual handling, medical and personal care. Due to the specific needs of the child and the manual handling involved you will need to be able bodied. Given the specific attachment needs of the child, we are also looking for someone that can commit to the role on a long term basis.
