Required as soon as possible
We are seeking to recruit a Site Assistant, working under the direction of the Site Manager, to ensure the premises are safe and well maintained at all times. The role includes responsibility for site security, school lettings, liaising with contractors, managing emergencies and internal and external maintenance of the school.
The successful candidate will ideally, although it is not essential, have experience of building maintenance and knowledge of basic plumbing, joinery, electrical and decorating repair.
Idsall School is a heavily oversubscribed 11-18 rural school with excellent facilities. Idsall was described by OFSTED (May 2017) as a good school where students achieve well and leave with results that are above the national average. All judgements were good.
We are aware that applying for a new role at this time of national challenge is worrying and so we want to reassure all candidates that we have put together a recruitment process sensitive to these difficulties. If you have any questions, please contact the headteacher’s PA on the email address below.
Further details and application forms for this post are available from the school website.
Completed applications should be emailed to jobs@idsall.shropshire.sch.uk
Closing date: Monday 24 May 2021 at 11 a.m.
Interviews: Thursday 27 May 2021
Idsall is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure by Criminal Records Bureau prior to commencement in post. This post is a designated customer facing role and under the fluency duty requires a specified level of spoken English as stated in the person spec and in line with our policy.
