Job Details

The Governors, pupils and staff at Perryfields Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated experienced SENCO who will not only enhance the existing provision for all SEND pupils but also those entitled to Disadvantaged Pupil Premium funding.  The applicant will also assume responsibility for the Social, Emotional and Mental Health of pupils and the well-being of all stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for the right person to work within a supportive leadership team and build upon the many improvements made since the last Ofsted inspection. 

If you have the ability to facilitate high quality learning experiences in order to make a difference, regardless of any perceived barriers, this may be the opportunity for you.

Applications are invited from highly effective practitioners who:-

  • have recent relevant experience with regards to SEND
  • have a genuine interest in SEMH in order to improve pupil outcomes
  • have an excellent understanding of pedagogy, teaching, learning and assessment
  • have teaching and learning experience within the primary phase
  • understand the importance of teamwork, demonstrating excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders
  • are able to lead our team of Teaching Assistants and share our passion to secure the best possible outcomes for all pupils both academically and pastorally
  • are committed to sustaining a supportive environment across the whole school community
  • have a knowledge of barriers to learning (and a proven ability to improve outcomes) including mental health and well being
  • have high expectations
