Elmwood School is an expanding Local Authority SEMH school in the leafy suburb of Rushall in Walsall. The school has 76 mixed 11-16 year olds on roll split into three discreet areas. We offer a wide and personalised curriculum catering for a range of abilities.
We are seeking an outstanding Site Manager, who will ensure the excellent presentation of the school building and grounds to enhance and protect the school’s reputation by planning and implementing maintenance schedules, ensuring health and safety legislation and school protocols are adhered to at all times and to work as an effective member of our premises team.
We are looking for:-
- Someone who is pro-active, with a passion for ensuring that the building and grounds are maintained to a very high standard.
- Basic DIY skills, to support the maintenance of the building. (Specific trade qualifications desirable. The school is willing to support annual registration payments to maintain accreditation)
- Excellent organisational skills, to ensure scheduled maintenance and safety checks are completed in a timely manner
- Good communication skills, to support interactions with staff, pupils, suppliers and tradesmen
- Flexibility, as there will be some out-of-hours call outs and the requirement to work with pupils on reparation of damage.
- A Full driving licence
