We have an Interesting opportunity in our Appointees and Deputies Team for a Finance Officer .

Our team provide a financial service for adult residents of Worcestershire who live in the community or residential care, who lack the mental capacity to deal with their finances themselves and where other means are not available or appropriate.  We apply to the Department of Work & Pensions and/or the Court of Protection to be appointed to act as the financial representative and ensure financial decisions are made in the best interests of the person we are appointed to act for. 

The role will involve managing a vulnerable persons finances. This would include completing and submitting  applications to the DWP / Court of Protection. Using an Internet Business banking and case management system to include the setting up of accounts, maintaining records, validating and processing of payments, reconciliations etc. 

This role is customer facing and will involve travel within the County to visit providers and the people we provide a financial service for, therefore a current driving licence is required. (This part of our service is currently restricted by Covid.)
