Constituency Approved Mental Health Professional

We have an exciting opportunity for an Approved Mental Health Professional working within the Edgbaston Constituency Adults Team. We need you - especially if you are highly innovative and enthusiastic. We are a supportive and dynamic team in the delivery of Adult Social Care. You will provide a social work service to people experiencing complex mental health needs. You will undertake the assessments, support planning and care coordination for vulnerable adults with complex mental health needs.

You will work as part of a flexible rota and specialise in statutory mental health work, including the undertaking of Mental Health Act assessments and completing First Tier Tribunal ESCH (Mental Health) reports. The successful candidate will also contribute to mental health related work with children and families.

You will be reliable, committed, and be able to adhere to the relevant legislation, policies and procedures, working with our most vulnerable citizens of Birmingham. You must be a qualified social worker and be registered with the relevant regulatory body e.g. Social Work England.
