Play Leader – Disabled Children (Summer Stay & Play Scheme)  

£11.73 per hour

Can you make a positive difference to someone’s life? Do you have good communication and listening skills, and feel passionate about supporting other people to live a more independent and fulfilling life?

 

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to support in the co-ordination of a Summer Stay & Play Scheme for Children and Young People with Additional and Complex Needs.  The Scheme is based at The Bridge School for 5 weeks of the summer holiday including 1 week for training.

 

The successful applicant will play a key role supporting the Service Leader: Young People’s Services with recruitment, planning and the delivery of a training week, will be the nominated person for Ofsted and alongside the Service Leader will be responsible for the day to day running of the Scheme, the care of children and the management of the team. 

 

The ideal applicant will have experience of working with children and young people in a similar setting and have a working knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

A NVQ Level 4 in Child Care or Equivalent would be desirable for this post and an Early Years qualification would be an advantage.
