We are transforming how we provide Financial Services to Worcestershire County Council to deliver an ongoing improvement programme to reflect the changing requirements of the Council, our partners and customers.
We are looking to appoint to a vacant Finance Business Partners post, on a six-month fixed term contract, in Service Finance.
Service Finance is integral to the delivery of the Council’s organisational and operational objectives, providing assurance, advice, support and challenge at all levels. This post will be working with the senior and operational managers within our Public Health Service providing financial advice, quality assurance and challenge on budget forecasting variances, challenge and support relating to change programmes, business cases, strategic financial advice, value for money statements, cases for change, Directorate Leadership Team (DLT), cabinet, scrutiny and Chief Officers Group (COG) / Senior Leadership Team (SLT) reports and financial management of projects.
You will be a qualified accountant or auditor, with a CCAB or CMIIA level 7 qualification, or be qualified by experience and ideally will have previous experience of working in the public sector. Leadership, communication, and persuasion skills will sit alongside technical skills and knowledge in the successful delivery of the role.
