An exciting opportunity to work within the Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) as a Social Worker

Responsibilities

We are looking for highly trained and motivated people who have an ability to work in a fast paced environment against tight deadlines but with a real passion to make a difference to vulnerable children and families. You will be part of a special team delivering a Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) to improve outcomes for children involved in care proceedings, offering an alternative & more successful way of supporting parents to overcome substance misuse, mental health & domestic abuse problems that have put their children at risk of serious harm. .

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working intensely with families in care proceedings. As an FDAC Key worker you will be responsible for writing assessments and preparing court reports so good report writing skills and attention to detail is important.

You should have experience of working with families, adults and young people who have complex needs, engaging them in interventions, utilising a whole family approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and supporting them to lead a safe, happy and healthy life.
