School Office/Business Manager and Bursar required by Hurley Primary School.

This will be a full time, permanent post, to start as soon as possible.

We seek to recruit a full time Office/Business Manager and Bursar who will be responsible to the Headteacher for the management, operation and development of administration support especially in the areas of Finance, HR and Health & Safety.

Hurley Primary School is a Popular Village, Maintained, Primary School in Warwickshire with a good Ofsted inspection. We pride ourselves in our positive ethos and provide a welcoming, happy, safe and caring environment. Due to retirement, we are looking to appoint a School Business Manager who can be well organised and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills to join our friendly, dedicated team.

The successful candidate will be supported by admin staff to ensure smooth running of all areas of the Primary School. There will be a transition into the role with opportunity to work alongside our current Office Manager before she leaves.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will need:

  • Experience of office administration (preferably in a school environment.)
  • Experience of financial administration and managing a budget (preferably a school budget and working with SIMS FMS.)
  • To be highly organised.
  • To have excellent interpersonal Skills.
  • Understanding of GDPR compliance requirements.
  • To be able to work independently, being proactive and able to use own initiative.
  • To have the desire and ambition to continue to learn and develop further relevant knowledge and skills.
  • To be be prepared to take on board new ideas, systems and developments.
  • To have a willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
  • To contribute to maintain a culture of safeguarding children.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations/requirements.
  • To work as part of a team to inspire, motivate and support others.
