Are you the person to set-up and facilitate family support and learning opportunities for pre-school children? Then this exciting and unique opportunity to work with thirteen schools in and around the Northfield area, to support and prepare children for entry to school at Reception is for you.
We wish to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Family Support/ Community Support Worker to support families and nurseries in preparing children for school. You will need to be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an appropriate area, have strong interpersonal skills, ICT skills and enjoy working with children and families. A knowledge
of the local area of Northfield and surrounding areas would be of benefit, but not essential.
You should be able to show you can use your own initiative, be organised, be able to liaise with outside agencies & professionals, be able to offer support and parent groups and have knowledge of where to get or signpost support. You will need to be able to drive and have your own car.
In return, the consortium of schools offers a generous package, support and development for the right candidate, including further training.
