Title: Adult Safeguarding Area Manager
Salary: £45,610 - £49,186
Hours: 37
Location: County Hall, Worcester
Worcestershire County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced health or social care professional / manager to join our Adult Social Care Service. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is passionate about safeguarding practice and is looking to advance their career.
Based within Quality & Safeguarding Services, you will lead an Area Adult Safeguarding Team and work with partners within the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub. The important position would develop expertise safeguarding, leadership and partnership working.
You will be responsible for:
- Effective operation of arrangements for the Council to meet statutory duties under the Care Act 2014
- Ensuring that safeguarding responses are person-led, and outcome focused
- Management of an Area Adult Safeguarding Team
- Development of the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub
- Supporting the management of provider concerns
You will require:
- A professional qualification in health or social care, with current registration
- Experience of Adult Safeguarding work
- Experience and knowledge of strengths-based social work practice and Making Safeguarding Personal
- Experience of supervising and developing staff
- Knowledge of the requirements of the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation and practice guidance
- Experience of multi-agency working
