Street Teams Full Time ‘Community Futures’ Worker
(Four Years funding, 12 month fixed term contract
with continuation for up to the four years)
Salary: £26,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established charity in their response to Child Exploitation. The “Community Futures” project will be looking to:
- Build resilient communities that stand up against exploitation
- Preventing exploitation before there are any warning signs
- Identify families and children who need support to prevent escalation of concerns
- Support communities to report any issues of concern
- To recruit and support Community Champions
To provide services relating to the implementation of the ‘Community Futures’ project preventing the exploitation of children, supporting families at the earliest point and empowering resilient communities across the Walsall borough in designated locations.
The project worker will offer intensive 1:1 support, run group work sessions and education sessions for parents, children and professionals and deliver/create localised campaigns to prevent exploitation.
The worker will have social work, youth work, health or other similar professional qualification; experience of working with young people, community groups and professionals; trained in child exploitation and experience of working with vulnerable children/families would be beneficial.
The worker must be able to drive with use of a car for work purposes.
