The Role

Wolverton Primary is a small, village school in a rural location on the outskirts of Warwick. We have a hard working, dedicated and friendly team of staff and our children are enthusiastic, keen to learn and well behaved. Parents and governors are very supportive and take an active role in the life of the school.

Our governors are looking for a teaching assistant who is dynamic and enthusiastic. The post is for a TA level 2 to work across both mixed age classes in Key Stage 2, and includes the role of a Midday Supervisor (MDS) to cover 5 days per week (MDS is 1 hour per day paid on Scale A). Hours worked are 8.45 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. Monday to Friday which is 22.5 hours per week, term time only. In addition, for a candidate with the relevant experience and qualifications there may be the opportunity to extend the advertised role to include a TA level 3 post to provide PPA cover for one afternoon a week.

The TA level 2 post is on a part time basis and is initially a fixed term appointment for 1 year, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key Requirements

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The role is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for these roles.
