An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Customer Services Officer's within the Fund’s Customer Services Team
The West Midlands Pension Fund is a local authority Pension Fund based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. The Fund is one of the UK’s largest pension funds, managing and administering the pension interest of our members and scheme employers. We currently have over 320,000 scheme members, over 700 employers with £18bn of assets under management.

We are seeking a highly organised and flexible Customer Services Officer who will be based in the Customer Services team.
This rewarding and challenging role will involve communicating with a variety of customers on a daily basis, the majority of which will be members of the scheme. The responsibilities will include:-
· Efficiently and accurately answering customer enquiries received either via phone, letter, email or web communication
· Resolving face to face customer enquiries in our reception area, as and when required · Completing processes within our pension administration software
· Providing a comprehensive and professional customer service, working flexibly to achieve targets

You will be responsible for communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders on all levels whilst managing your workload proactively to ensure deadlines and targets are met.
The ideal candidate will be someone with excellent customer service skills, the ability to work efficiently using our IT programmes and proven experience of working in a customer facing environment. You should have a sound knowledge of local government pension legislation and be able to demonstrate the ability to translate complex information for the benefit of our customers.
